Colored Contact Lenses - Get New Eye Colour!

Color contact lenses are my favorite. I've tried many colors from different brands. One thing that I found was that although some colors look good on my eyes, others made me look fake or horrible. After a lot of trial and error I found out the rules of selecting best color lenses for your eyes.

First, it is important to know that you can choose between opaque and enhancement color contacts. You can make your eyes look brighter or more vibrant with enhancement color lenses. They are only suitable for people with light eyes - blue, green, grey or light brown. These lenses appear natural looking because they are partially transparent.

On the other hand, opaque lenses can completely change your eye color. These lenses do not have transparency, which is why they are best for people with dark eyes. Opaque color contacts may be necessary if your natural colour is brown. If you desire sky blue eyes, then enhancements will not be able to do the trick. People with very light eyes can wear either type of lens, depending on how they wish to look.

Contacts for subtle changes

The best contacts for blue-colored eyes are aqua or green. Why would someone with blue eyes want colored lenses? You can see a huge difference in your appearance with blue enhancement lenses. While your eyes may still be blue, your eyes appear brighter. My eyes are blue. I love wearing contacts in blue tints.

Naturally grey eyes also respond well to blue tints. Although the color is not as intense as over-blue eyes, it appears more like a blue-grey. However, it looks natural and appealing. Acuvue 2 colors or Freshlook Dimensions are good choices.

Green color contacts look great with blue or gray eyes. It is easy to notice the difference when jade green is mixed into your natural color.

Freshlook Radiance color contacts can be used to make your eyes sparkle. My favorite color is Eden (for blue or grey eyes). You can see the difference between sunrise and autumn colors with hazel eyes.

Contact lenses in color for dramatic change

Optically-lensing is required to dramatically change the color of brown eyes. Acuvue2 colors opaque, Freshlook colorblends, or Illusions at Ciba Vision are the best options.

Freshlook Colorblends Sapphire, or Amethyst, are the best colors to match dark eyes and hair. Your new look will be instantly noticeable and everyone will love it.

If you have blue or grey eyes, but want to change your color to something completely different, go for honey color contacts. These lenses make you appear warmer. For an even more dramatic effect, try wearing warm colors lipstick and natural colours to enhance the effect.

Color contact lens safety

You should already know how to properly care for contact lenses if you are using them to improve your vision. If you only want cosmetic color contacts, ask your doctor about wearing them safely.

The most important rule is that contact lenses with color can block more oxygen than clear prescription lenses. The color lens town part actually doesn't allow for oxygen to pass. You should avoid wearing your color lenses for over 6-8 hours per day. This is bad for your eyes. Also, you shouldn't sleep in your color lenses.

Get a pair color contact lenses. A pair of color contact lenses can enhance the appearance of a woman as much as sparkling eyes. It is great fun to switch out your lenses every now and again.
